Unveiling events

I have photographed several blue plaque unveilings over the past month, and in all weathers! They are a great way to celebrate the life and work of the person being honoured with a plaque. I find it an education to discover the lives of people who achieved great things and left a legacy. It is also humbling to watch family, friends and admirers speak on the plaque recipient and witness the difference they clearly made to people's lives. I am commissioned by English Heritage to photograph some of these unveiling events for both press and archive. I truly enjoy documenting the continuation of this pioneering scheme that is now in its 150th year.
