Archaeology in action

Recently I was commissioned to photograph an archeological dig near Northampton, and found it fascinating to see the work that was being done. On the site of a new homes development, a team of archeologists were working to uncover Roman and Saxon infrastructure and artefacts. The site will eventually be built over so the work is mainly preservation through record and it was my job to document the team in action.
